A Short Fiction film in the Coming-Of-Age genre, which was my midterm assignment along with my juniors. Coincidentally, I was trusted to be the Producer for the umpteenth time in 2025.
The short fiction film 'Kara’s Birthday' itself stems from the shared anxieties of every film crew member I produced, including myself, in seeing how birthdays no longer feel special as we grow into adulthood.
"To be honest, I was quite pessimistic when this film was rejected by so many film festivals I applied to. But it turns out a miracle was on our side."
As it happens, this short film has received several awards at film festivals in Sweden, Greece, and Pakistan. Proof that honest personal anxiety can resonate universally on the international stage.
